Emily Featherston

Biography

Emily joined BridgeBuilder Tax + Legal Services P.A. in 2024 and is licensed to practice law in both Kansas and Missouri. She works with individuals and small businesses, offering a broad range of transactional legal services, including estate planning and wealth preservation, business succession planning, probate and trust administration, mergers and acquisitions, real estate transactions, and entity formation and compliance.

A proud graduate of Kansas State University, Emily earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Spanish Translation. She was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society and was actively involved in K-State’s Student Governing Association, the College of Arts & Sciences Ambassadors, and her sorority, Kappa Delta. During her sophomore year, she spent a semester in San José, Costa Rica, studying sustainability and economic development.

Emily went on to earn her Juris Doctorate with a pro-bono distinction from the University of Kansas School of Law, where she was involved in the Business and Tax Law Society, the Women in Law Society, and served as Vice President and member of Outlaws and Allies. She also dedicated her time to KU’s VITA Tax Clinic, assisting low-income Douglas County residents with tax preparation and serving as a site director.

Outside of work, Emily enjoys spending time with her husband, Clint, cheering on Kansas City sports teams, reading, and baking gluten-free treats. She’s also an avid knitter and a music enthusiast, playing both piano and flute. She loves supporting local musicians and serves on the Forte Steering Committee for the Kansas City Symphony. Emily also serves on the House Corporation of her sorority, Kappa Delta. At home, she enjoys the company of her cat, Mia, and her dog, Winnie.
